A Mission Born from Experience

During the COVID-19 pandemic, our founder navigated pregnancy in a new country while facing language barriers, an unfamiliar healthcare system, and the absence of family support. At a time when healthcare systems were overwhelmed and human connection was limited, what should have been a journey of care and reassurance became one of uncertainty and isolation. This experience revealed a critical gap: many immigrant families are expected to navigate complex healthcare systems without the knowledge, support, or cultural understanding needed to do so confidently and safely. With a background in public health and a deep commitment to health equity, the founder transformed this experience into action, creating Immigrant Health Access Initiative to bridge these gaps, improve healthcare access, and empower immigrant communities.
